We would like to invite you to an exclusive event by Turkish Student Association at Michigan State University on March 20th Saturday at 11 am. The theme will be “Turkish Culture Day: Turks in the US Context. We will have speakers (once a student now a professional) to share their success stories.
The event is sponsored by ASSEMBLY OF TURKISH AMERICAN ASSOCIATIONS (ATAA).
The tentative program is provided below. The event is limited to 60 people, and lunch or lunch break will be provided (TBA).

The United States will face Turkey on May 29 at Lincoln Financial Field in its final match in this country before the World Cup gets underway in South Africa on June 11, according to US Soccer.

THE FELLOWSHIPS: For summer 2010, the American Research Institute in Turkey will offer fellowships for up to 15 advanced students for participation in the summer program in intensive advanced Turkish language at Bogaziçi University in Istanbul. This intensive program offers the equivalent of one full academic year of study in Turkish at the college level. The fellowships cover round-trip airfare to Istanbul, application and tuition fees, and a maintenance stipend.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Full-time students and scholars affiliated at academic institutions are eligible to apply. To be a fellowship applicant, you must:
- Be a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States.
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level academic program, or be faculty
- Have a minimum B average in your studies, if still a student; and
- Perform at the high-intermediate level on a proficiency-based admissions examination.

The Turkish Coalition of America is accepting applications for its 2010 Spring Internship program. TCA’s Spring Internship program is designed to enhance students’ understanding of the US political process, while fostering essential leadership skills.
Spring 2010 internships are open to undergraduate and graduate students. Eligible students and recent graduates will have a minimum of one year office experience, knowledge of issues pertaining to US-Turkish relations and excellent oral and written communication skills.
